If you have ever stopped by our booth at the Tampa Supershow, you have probably already met Scott Christian. Scott grew up working in a family-owned construction business, over the years graduating to construction management building shopping malls in southern California. As the economy changed in the 1980s, he left the construction industry and moved into the automotive and RV repair industry. Scott served on the board of The Automotive Service Counsel in California for over a decade, an organization that lobbied at local, state, and federal levels to improve the aftermarket automotive industry.

From its humble beginnings - more than 20 years ago now - He saw a need in the community to repair RV roofs. When Scott founded RV Roofing Solutions, he had seen firsthand the extensive and costly damage a leaky RV roof can cause and why it’s the biggest complaint among RV owners. Using his background in construction technology and his experience in the auto and RV repair industry RV Roofing Solutions began revolutionizing the aftermarket RV roofing industry

Scott recognized roof repair and replacement in the early 1990’s was a very underserved industry and decided to do something about that. Scott sold the repair facility he had spent over a decade building and went to work for El Toro RV at Travel Land in Irvine, CA.  He gained more experience on a wider variety roofing systems and the liquid repair coatings available, which he found were quite inadequate and a short term fix for leak issues.

Scott experienced his first acrylic roof while an RV tech was replacing a broken skylight. This roof was impressive, it was tougher than a rubber membrane, lighter in weight and easier to repair. Scott, thru the acrylic roof customer, was referred to Clayton Borstad, a commercial roofer by trade and the acrylic roof installer. Scott formally met Clayton in Quartzite, AZ, at the January RV show and in 10 days learned more about liquid roofing chemistry and composition than he did in the last 5 years. Through Clayton's guidance, Scott began his new career, and RV Roofing Solutions was born.

With his son's help, the company grew quickly through word of mouth, doubling its business every six months. Eventually, the customer wait time was as much as one year, and an expansion was in order. After some growing pains and a lot of prayer, RV Roofing Solutions partnered with Frank and Jennifer Schillaci. Their experience within the industry has helped RV Roofing Solutions shorten the customer wait time, expand social media marketing, and greatly improve the customer service experience we have today.

In 2013, Frank and Jennifer hit the road full-time in an RV after Frank had retired from the United States Marine Corps to see the country with their family. In 2014 God provided a position in the aftermarket RV roofing industry to help supplement his USMC retirement pay and continue traveling installing RV roofs around the country. It didn't always allow them to travel to on a bucket list item, but there were certainly new adventures and amazing new people around every corner. From coast to coast, they have seen the world's largest pheasant statue, Yosemite, Yellowstone, and the beaches of Florida.... but there are still a lot of places they haven't been... yet.

In 2020 they met Scott in Tampa. They didn't know at the time, but ultimately  were looking for a better product that was less toxic than the products they were working with. Once they sat down with Scott they ultimately partnered with him because of his work ethic, great product and humility.  They saw the potential to not only grow and expand an already amazing product and vision,  they are dedicated to bringing on even more teams of installers that travel that are the hands and feet of our company.

The RV community matters to us because we are an integral part of this community.  We are members of Fulltime Families, Escapees, The Republic of Nomads, FMCA, and other camping clubs.

As a company we truly care about our clients. And we know a lot of companies say that.  You are not just a roof to us. In fact, often times we will get calls from clients for years after an install is completed. When we do see a "roof in the wild" and recognize the customer we always do a courtesy check and often share a campfire during our stay at the same location.
